We take the hassle out of getting a roadworthy certificate
What was known commonly as a roadworthy certificate, is now called a Queensland Safety Certificate. Currently a Queensland Safety Certificate is valid for 2 months or for 2,000 km’s, whichever comes first.
We are approved as an inspection station which means we have the authority to issue a legal document that will enable you to register your vehicle in the State of Queensland.
Who needs a road worthy certificate (Queensland Safety Certificate)?
Whenever a registered vehicle is being transferred to a new owner, a Queensland Safety Certificate is required. That essentially means when you buy a new or used vehicle or even gift a vehicle to a family member. If the car is not registered to your name, you are not recognised by law as the owner.
The advantage of receiving an electronic safety certificate is that you can transfer the registration online and avoid the queues by having to go to your local QT (Queensland Transport) office.
If you are selling a car you need to display a Queensland Safety Certificate on your vehicle or produce the electronic documents is asked to do so. Steep fines are applicable to those who do not adhere to these laws.

As we are located on the Gold Coast, we only provide Queensland Safety Certificates, we cannot issue a roadworthy certificate for NSW registered vehicles. We can even provide your Queensland Safety Certificate documents electronically via email, due to Queensland Transport’s initiative to avoid excessive paperwork.
